Job Description
Health insurance sales representative helping California seniors choose Medicare plans at SCAN. Generating enrollments, community partnerships, leads and member retention across Placer and Yolo Counties.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and generate opportunities for sales presentations, group meetings, community events and other senior activities within the assigned service area
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with providers and community leaders
- Generate and develop sales leads and create a book of business
- Enter leads into the company CRM
- Develop sales resources and create a network of opportunities and contacts
- Promote member retention by resolving inquiries and proactively communicating with current members within the assigned marketing area
- Adhere to production goals and performance standards
- Create comprehensive reports providing production data and measuring growth objectives
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
- Meet with leadership to review performance metrics, determine sales strategies, and enhance sales techniques and processes
- Follow state and regulatory guidelines and CMS, MIPPA, compliance, sales and marketing requirements
- Maintain professional knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal and SCAN benefits through required training
- Contribute to team effort and perform other duties as assigned
- Support achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals
Requirements:
- Must be local to Placer and Yolo Counties
- Valid health license in California required
- CMS annual certifications required
- Medicare sales experience
- 1–3 years of related experience
- Sales and marketing experience in the healthcare industry preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Performs work under general supervision
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
- Possesses solid working knowledge of the subject matter
- May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
- Background check required
