Job Description
Hotel sourcing specialist procuring hotels and ground transportation for airline clients at API. Negotiating supplier contracts, analyzing markets, and managing crew feedback remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Actively manage hotel and ground transportation procurement processes for clients
- Source hotels and collect market data for key destinations
- Collect hotel names, addresses, contact information, and star ratings using internal databases and internet sources
- Manage RFP/RFI processes through API’s JET platform to secure and negotiate rates, concessions, and contract terms
- Research hotel options and track data in Salesforce
- Analyze market trends and conditions to secure optimal scenarios for airline and hotel partners
- Create detailed destination presentations using Microsoft products and Adobe programs to demonstrate savings and meet revenue goals
- Schedule domestic and international hotel site inspections when required
- Manage crewmember feedback through the online portal and address complaints or compliments within contracted SLAs
Requirements:
- Fluency in English required
- Fluency in Spanish or French is a plus
- Strong problem solving skills
- Detail oriented
- Negotiation skills
- Able to multitask and work well under strict deadlines and fast-paced environment
- Skilled at managing processes
- Ability to positively present API in supplier-facing situations
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with and understand diverse cultures here and abroad
- Organized self-starter able to work proactively and independently
- Experience or proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft products, Adobe programs, and internet/internal databases is required by the described duties
