Job Description
Senior HR Systems Analyst configuring and optimizing Workday HR solutions for Republic Services, an environmental services company. Leading module workstreams, releases, testing, and system governance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and optimize Workday solutions across assigned modules
- Identify challenges, determine root causes, and design scalable configuration improvements
- Design and configure complex Workday business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, validations, alerts, notifications, eligibility rules, and EIB templates
- Own complex workstreams and assess end-to-end module impacts
- Maintain configuration integrity and sustainability
- Mentor HR Systems Analyst II employees and serve as an escalation point
- Provide guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 HR support teams
- Lead semi-annual release impact reviews, remediation, and regression testing
- Coordinate user acceptance testing with Centers of Excellence and HR Operations
- Partner with Workday Engineers on technical feasibility and migration processes
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate requirements into functional design
- Consult with product owners, HR leaders, and Centers of Excellence on HR system needs
- Maintain configuration documentation, decision logs, and standards
- Ensure documentation and controlled migration processes are followed
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
Requirements:
- 4–7 years of hands-on Workday HRIS experience
- Deep knowledge of Workday configuration and capabilities within specific modules
- Ability to diagnose system issues and deliver timely solutions
- Expertise with Workday business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, EIB, and security fundamentals
- Experience with Workday release cycles and regression testing
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Proficiency with Visio, Jira, MS Project, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
