Job Description

Remote HVAC Drafter creating 2D/3D ductwork, piping, and equipment plans. Coordinating building systems and producing code-compliant fabrication and as-built drawings.

Responsibilities:

  • Turn engineering concepts into clear, precise working plans
  • Work with engineers, project managers, and builders to ensure HVAC layouts fit inside buildings and follow safety rules
  • Create 2D and 3D shop drawings, coordination layouts, and fabrication plans for ductwork, piping, and equipment
  • Coordinate HVAC layouts with architectural, electrical, and plumbing plans to avoid clashes
  • Revise blueprints based on field changes, site checks, and engineer notes
  • Help create material lists, equipment schedules, and final as-built drawings
  • Ensure designs follow local building codes and industry rules such as ASHRAE
  • Prepare drawings from supplied plans and sketches
  • Provide timely updates on drawing completion and workload
  • Manage the department's day-to-day workflow and output, prioritizing and assigning projects
  • Ensure finished projects align with customer and project requirements
  • Perform other job-related duties as required
  • Use Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Discord, Hubstaff, WhatsApp, Zoom, AutoCAD, Revit, and PDF Editor during work relations

Requirements:

  • Advanced English knowledge: upper intermediate, advanced or proficient
  • Strong and verifiable engineering/architectural background and experience
  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on mechanical drafting or HVAC design work
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Experience with 3D tools such as Revit or BIM
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Lumion
  • Good grasp of HVAC parts, duct sizing, and piping routes
  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or diploma in drafting, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience and proficiency in drafting using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit
  • Professional attitude and ethical behavior
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and convey information between expert teams
  • Ability to self-organize activities and maintain thorough records of tasks, pointers and process updates
  • Ability to identify, establish and assign priorities
  • Ability to comply with orders or specific instructions when needed
  • Own computer (laptop/desktop) with internet access
  • Ability to use Hubstaff time tracking software
  • Work samples or portfolio in PDF format
  • 1.5–2 minute voice note in English covering relevant experience and past responsibilities
