Job Description

Industrial Hygienist managing exposure assessments and chemical safety for Jabil’s electronics and manufacturing operations. Evaluating controls, monitoring hazards, and supporting regulatory compliance across US sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing, training, and rolling out chemical exposure assessment programs
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments for chemical, physical, and biological hazards
  • Manage risks associated with specialty chemicals and electronic manufacturing hazards, including adhesives, solvents, conformal coatings, lasers, x-rays, hydrofluoric acid, and other hazardous materials
  • Assist in designing and implementing industrial hygiene programs, including air monitoring, noise monitoring, and chemical exposure assessments
  • Perform personal and area air sampling using pumps, badges, and direct-reading instruments
  • Evaluate engineering controls including LEV systems, fume hoods, cleanroom laminar flow systems, isolators, and glove boxes
  • Conduct workplace hazard assessments and recommend engineering, administrative, and PPE controls
  • Provide employee training on occupational health and chemical safety
  • Interpret and apply OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and other applicable regulations
  • Prepare technical reports, maintain monitoring records, and communicate findings to management
  • Partner with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, and Maintenance teams to implement exposure controls
  • Support Regional EHS teams and sites with implementation and technical assistance
  • Participate in the global assessment program as an auditor or subject matter expert when requested
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of industrial hygiene experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, electronics, or related industries
  • Experience with exposure monitoring, risk assessments, ventilation evaluations, and chemical safety programs
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health regulations and exposure limits
  • Experience with chemical, physical, and biological hazard assessments
  • On the path/working towards CIH certification preferred
  • Ability to travel 50%
