Job Description

Industrial Sales Representative selling machinery components and gear inspection services. Managing southeastern US customer relationships, quotes, field visits, and technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide, support, and perform work relating to customer needs through field best practices
  • Represent the company with integrity and professionalism while working with little to no supervision
  • Deliver high-quality sales and workmanship
  • Participate in on-site sales and gear inspections
  • Communicate products and gear inspection services to customers
  • Build and maintain customer relationships and understand customer needs
  • Contact existing customers and make cold calls to prospects
  • Visit prospects and customers in person, generate leads and quotes, and pursue opportunities through sale
  • Provide field services and customer support
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and recommend proper, cost-effective solutions
  • Manage on-site projects according to schedule
  • Cooperate with the technical team and share information with the company
  • Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities to the PTS
  • Maintain customer records and track business opportunities

Requirements:

  • Outstanding organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Participate in on-site sales and gear inspections
  • Develop technical knowledge to communicate products and gear inspection services
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Maintain customer contact and make cold calls
  • Create, submit, and follow up on quotes and RFQs
  • Document and track business opportunities
  • Maintain accurate customer records in the database
  • Technological capabilities for today’s business environment
  • 50% travel
  • Maintain monthly itineraries using wall calendar and Outlook calendar
  • Submit daily briefs and weekly reports
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • Ability to safely ascend and descend ladders
  • Provide field services and customer support
  • Manage on-site projects with little supervision
  • Diagnose technical errors and determine cost-effective solutions
  • Follow timekeeping and billing requirements
  • Must hold a valid driver's license in good standing
  • Safe vehicle operation
  • High school diploma/trade school or college degree; experience may substitute for degree
  • 2 years of experience in the paper industry
  • Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Good sense of smell, hearing, and vision for safety
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Stellar driving record
  • Ability to cover the southeastern US territory
  • Must work required hours and follow company policies and SOPs
