Job Description
Integration Architect leading secure enterprise integrations for a federal healthcare modernization program. Designing APIs, cloud, middleware, and interoperability architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain enterprise integration architecture, standards, patterns, and technical roadmaps.
- Design scalable integration solutions connecting enterprise applications, cloud platforms, data systems, APIs, and external services.
- Develop integration approaches using APIs, microservices, middleware, event-driven architectures, and messaging technologies.
- Lead technical design and architecture reviews for complex integration initiatives.
- Define API management, security, versioning, and governance standards.
- Collaborate with application, cloud, data, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure end-to-end solution compatibility.
- Design secure data exchange and system interoperability solutions.
- Evaluate existing interfaces and identify opportunities for modernization, consolidation, and performance improvement.
- Provide technical guidance for integration development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Support cloud migration and enterprise modernization initiatives.
- Develop reusable architecture patterns and integration frameworks.
- Troubleshoot complex integration and interoperability challenges.
- Support DevSecOps and CI/CD practices for integration solutions.
- Ensure solutions meet applicable federal security, privacy, accessibility, and data governance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers, engineers, and technical teams.
- Communicate architectural recommendations and technical risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of enterprise IT experience, including significant experience designing complex system integrations.
- Experience serving as an Integration Architect, Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or similar senior technical role.
- Strong experience with enterprise integration patterns and API-based architectures.
- Experience designing REST and SOAP APIs, web services, and application interfaces.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with API management and enterprise middleware/integration platforms.
- Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of identity, authentication, authorization, and secure integration patterns.
- Experience working within Agile and DevSecOps environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to meet applicable federal background investigation requirements.
- Preferred: Previous experience supporting federal healthcare, health IT, or major federal modernization initiatives.
- Preferred: Experience with MuleSoft, Apigee, Azure Integration Services, Boomi, Informatica, or similar enterprise integration technologies.
- Preferred: Experience supporting cloud-native integration architectures.
- Preferred: Healthcare interoperability experience, including FHIR and HL7.
- Preferred: Experience integrating electronic health record, healthcare, or clinical systems.
- Preferred: Experience with enterprise API management and governance.
- Preferred: Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms.
- Preferred: Relevant cloud, architecture, integration, or MuleSoft certifications.
- Preferred: Experience supporting enterprise-scale modernization or digital transformation programs.
