Job Description
IP Network Engineer designing and operating secure networks for Webbing, a global data MVNO delivering connectivity and IoT services. Maintaining high-availability infrastructure across enterprise and carrier networks.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy network and security systems, including firewalls, web filtering systems, LAN, WAN, routing protocols, failover mechanisms, IPSEC, and SSL VPNs
- Perform technical operations on IP network elements across multiple networks
- Maintain availability and performance of business-critical networks
- Define and enforce rules for firewalls, virtual private networks, and other network security control systems
- Provide escalated support and troubleshooting for security and network infrastructure
- Create and maintain detailed network and security documentation
- Coordinate with integrators and vendors on upgrades, installations, downtime planning, and new features
- Evaluate, test, and select enterprise networking and security hardware and solutions
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience with networking and TCP/IP protocols, including routing and switching, IP/MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and IPv6
- Thorough knowledge and experience with IP network elements, including routers, switches, and firewalls from Juniper, Fortinet, and Cisco
- Experience in network design and implementation
- Excellent IP network troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with customers and internal departments to resolve complex technical problems
- Ability to learn independently and handle multiple tasks
- Fluent English
- Linux/Unix network configuration and network debugging
- Experience installing different Linux editions
- Knowledge of common network security threats and mitigation best practices
