Job Description
IT Operations Specialist providing remote India-based support for Milliman’s Windows/macOS endpoints, servers, and networks. Managing troubleshooting, security, audits, backups, onboarding, and enterprise IT initiatives across APAC and EMEA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support to the APAC and EMEA regions while working remotely in India
- Configure and deploy Windows and macOS endpoints and peripherals
- Support on-site and remote employees with application, hardware, account, and process-related issues
- Diagnose hardware, software, and operator problems
- Install, configure, repair, and maintain computers, telephones, peripherals, and software
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and investigate technical issues
- Work IT support tickets and monitor the work queue
- Ensure network operations comply with regulatory standards
- Configure and manage servers, storage systems, and networking equipment
- Implement on-premises, datacenter, and cloud data backup strategies
- Participate in change control, annual audits, and evidence production for policy compliance
- Conduct employee security education, training, and phishing/malware simulations
- Manage onboarding and offboarding, including account administration and hardware deployment/recovery
- Maintain computer hardware/software inventory and asset management
- Use patch management systems to administer application and operating system updates
- Run server-environment audit reports for compliance
- Review, create, and update documentation
- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call support
- Participate in enterprise-wide IT projects and initiatives
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Desktop Support or system administration role with over one-hundred users
- Experience supporting a Microsoft Windows/MacOS desktop environment
- Proficiency with Active Directory and PowerShell scripting for account and permissions administration
- Working knowledge of endpoint management tools, client automation software including SCCM, ITSM tools, and other system management technologies
- Experience with Windows Active Directory and domain environments
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all areas and levels of the company
- Process-oriented approach and demonstrated success in technical customer support
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with IT groups and SMEs
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multitask
- Outstanding customer service and interaction skills
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather, analyze, and document information
