Job Description
Junior Consultant unterstützt Zebra Embassy bei Förderberatung für deutsche Start-ups und Scale-ups. Aufbereitung von Lohn- und Projektdaten sowie Betreuung eigener Mandate.
Responsibilities:
- Advise start-ups and scale-ups on public funding opportunities, particularly the R&D tax credit
- Support funding strategy development, the certification process with the BSFZ, cost calculations, and submission to the tax office
- Prepare customer payroll data, absences, and other funding information for handover-ready payroll and project cost calculations
- Prepare customer communications and increasingly handle them independently
- Clarify questions regarding submitted data, gaps, and special circumstances
- Support cost calculations and determination of the assessment basis
- Maintain clear and accurate project-status documentation
- Coordinate with the consulting contact person and the Tech Team
- After onboarding, independently manage several client engagements in parallel across different project phases
- Technical applications and technical project discussions are not part of this role; these responsibilities are handled by the Tech Team
Requirements:
- Completed university degree, preferably in a business-related field such as Business Administration, Economics, Law, or Industrial Engineering
- Recent graduate or less than two years of professional experience
- Internships, working-student positions, or initial experience in a start-up, finance, or consulting environment are a plus
- Strong numerical affinity and ability to identify relationships in data
- Confident using Excel and Google Sheets
- Initial exposure to finance through studies, an internship, or a working-student position is helpful
- Clear communication skills and ability to explain complex matters understandably
- Detail-oriented and diligent working style
- Initiative and willingness to learn independently
- Experience with public funding is not required
