Job Description

Junior Paraplanner supporting Australian financial planners with compliant advice documents and client applications. Maintaining audit-ready files while working remotely for a Philippines-based employer.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Financial Planners with file preparation, scheduling and documentation behind every client meeting
  • Prepare and maintain financial planning advice documents ahead of client meetings
  • Keep compliance files and client records complete, accurate and audit-ready
  • Track and follow up insurance, investment and Centrelink applications
  • Handle client phone enquiries professionally, recording and routing messages accurately
  • Support marketing initiatives including seminars, newsletters, website content and client events
  • Work directly alongside qualified Australian financial planners on real client outcomes
  • Build hands-on experience with Xplan and Australian financial advice compliance

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in Australian financial planning, financial services, insurance, accounting/professional services or similar administrative support is highly regarded — exceptional candidates without it will also be considered
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working across Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Sound judgement and ability to flag discrepancies
  • Previous paraplanning experience, or exposure to preparing/reviewing a Statement of Advice (SOA) or Record of Advice (ROA) preferred
  • Exposure to Xplan or a similar financial planning platform preferred
  • Degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Commerce, Business, Accounting or a related field preferred; completed or in progress
