Job Description
Kotlin Developer building JVM microservices for Salmon’s Southeast Asian banking and lending platform. Designing event-driven core banking APIs and integrations at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Build scalable microservices in the JVM environment using Spring Boot within the Core Banking Development Team
- Work in an event-driven architecture grounded in domain-driven design and eventual consistency
- Collaborate across engineering to develop and scale Salmon's core banking and partner platforms
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable microservices
- Build and maintain APIs and services supporting core banking products
- Contribute to internal SDKs and frameworks for shared services
- Integrate with partner platforms and external services at scale
- Support development and scaling of banking and partner platforms
Requirements:
- 3+ years of software development experience in the JVM environment
- Strong Java skills; Kotlin is a plus
- Experience using Spring Boot in a microservices environment
- Experience working in an agile setup with continuous deployment and delivery
- Solid understanding of event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, and eventual consistency
- Experience with containerization and orchestration in a cloud environment
- Docker and Kubernetes preferred
- AWS preferred
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge across the team
- Availability for core collaboration hours from 1:00 to 7:00 PM Manila time (UTC+8)
