Job Description

CAD Drafter creating Civil 3D construction documents for Maverick Engineering's land development and infrastructure projects. Supporting grading, utilities, drainage, and permitting deliverables across West Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Support civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects throughout the Midland and West Texas region
  • Produce accurate, detailed construction documents and design drawings
  • Prepare and modify site development, grading, paving, utility, drainage, erosion control, demolition, and infrastructure plans
  • Incorporate engineering review comments and maintain company and project drafting standards
  • Convert survey data and perform LandXML imports
  • Develop surfaces, clean up linework, set up sheets, and produce plan and profile drawings
  • Organize and maintain Civil 3D drawings
  • Prepare construction drawing packages and permitting exhibits
  • Apply QA/QC procedures, pipe networks, utility layouts, profile development, and technical drafting standards
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, project managers, surveyors, designers, and field teams to resolve drafting and design challenges and meet project deadlines

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience preparing and modifying site development, grading, paving, utility, drainage, erosion control, demolition, and infrastructure plans
  • Ability to incorporate engineering review comments and maintain company and project drafting standards
  • Experience with survey data conversion, LandXML imports, surface development, linework cleanup, sheet setup, plan and profile production, and construction drawing packages
  • Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, pipe networks, utility layouts, profile development, permitting exhibits, and technical drafting standards
  • Familiarity with West Texas site and development considerations
  • Ability to work closely with civil engineers, project managers, surveyors, designers, and field teams
  • Commitment to accurate, constructible, timely, and client-ready deliverables
