Job Description
Lead Cloud Engineer overseeing and optimizing cloud infrastructure at WiredPeople, Inc. Responsible for security and compliance with a focus on Microsoft Azure environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations, configuration, and management of enterprise-grade cloud environments, primarily within Microsoft Azure
- Deploy, configure, and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions
- Continuously monitor cloud networks, check IP addresses and traffic logs, and proactively scan for and remediate system vulnerabilities
- Ensure all cloud architectures and processes strictly adhere to NIST 800-53 security and privacy controls
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to fully automate software releases and infrastructure provisioning
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for cloud infrastructure and security
Requirements:
- Extensive, hands-on experience building and managing environments in Microsoft Azure
- Proven, practical experience working with and implementing NIST 800-53 compliance controls
- Experience implementing SIEM solutions, must have used or be highly familiar with Microsoft Sentinel
- Strong background in network security, including checking IP addresses, monitoring traffic, and resolving system vulnerabilities
- Demonstrated ability to automate software releases and deployments using modern DevOps tools and practices
- Excellent analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating technical risks
- Relevant Microsoft Azure Certifications preferred
