Job Description

Measurement science consultant improving Allstate Claims decision-making. Designing experiments and causal analyses to ensure defensible business impact measurement.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and ensure high-quality measurement practices across Claims
  • Serve as a strategic leader and subject matter expert for business and analytics teams
  • Provide short-term consulting engagements to course-correct measurement on specific projects
  • Serve as a dedicated resource within business and product teams for long-term engagements
  • Educate Claims leaders and employees on measurement science
  • Translate complex analytical concepts into clear business recommendations
  • Present findings, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
  • Build partnerships across Claims, Analytics, Technology, and Finance
  • Lead complex measurement engagements involving multiple stakeholders
  • Define business objectives, success metrics, assumptions, and measurement approaches
  • Ensure analyses are accurate, defensible, and aligned to business objectives
  • Identify measurement risks and opportunities affecting decision quality
  • Promote consistent measurement standards, frameworks, and best practices
  • Design and execute experiments, quasi-experiments, and observational studies
  • Apply statistical and causal inference methods to evaluate business initiatives
  • Establish baselines, control groups, and success criteria for valid attribution

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, measurement science, economics, statistics, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience designing experiments, causal inference analyses, or program evaluations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience influencing decisions through analytics and business consulting
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations and partnering with senior business stakeholders
  • Claims experience preferred but not required
  • Strong expertise in statistical analysis, experimentation, and causal inference
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools and programming languages (Python, R, SQL)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect analytics to business outcomes
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
  • Background investigation required
  • Generally no employment-based visa sponsorship
