Job Description
Lead Full-Stack Engineer architecting Angular and C# API solutions for Progressive Leasing’s lease-to-own fintech platform. Leading distributed teams and end-to-end delivery across web and backend systems.
Responsibilities:
- Own the architecture, quality, and delivery of the Angular application and related APIs/services
- Define and enforce coding standards, patterns, and best practices across mobile and full-stack development; drive adoption of an A.I. first engineering mindset
- Drive technical roadmap decisions and align them with product goals, timelines, and the broader engineering organization
- Provide technical expertise in architecture, design, testing, and implementation spanning web UI through backend API contracts and LLM integration patterns
- Lead in-depth code reviews and conduct root cause analysis of critical production issues
- Own end-to-end delivery of web features from technical scoping through release and production monitoring
- Break down complex requirements into actionable engineering tasks, milestones, and clear ownership across a distributed team
- Identify and proactively mitigate technical risk throughout the development lifecycle
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and release management processes for both platforms
- Create and maintain best practices for observability and logging for all application layers
- Develop and deploy solutions with performance, security, and accessibility in mind
- Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team across the Americas and India
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams following Agile principles
- Lead organizational initiatives and continuously improve engineering practices
- Participate in hiring by reviewing resumes, conducting technical interviews, and evaluating candidates
- Set expectations for full-time employees and contractors
- Ensure software quality through automated testing, alerting, and proactive production support
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on full-stack development
- Experience with A.I. first engineering and usage of Claude, Co-Pilot, and other tools
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design principles, and how to properly architect both a UI and an API
- Proven full-stack capability — comfortable owning or collaborating on BFF / API layers
- Extensive experience with cross-browser and cross-platform development including mobile and responsive UI
- Experience developing and architecting high-transaction, high-throughput systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams across time zones with strong personal accountability
- Excellent problem-solving skills; meticulous, methodical, and able to translate complex business requirements into simple software solutions
- Experience with CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and open-source technologies
- Experience with LLM / AI-native development patterns and integrating AI-powered features into consumer products
- Experience leading teams of 5+ engineers across multiple geographies
- Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture and microservices
- Background in mobile accessibility (WCAG, platform accessibility APIs)
- Background in fintech, consumer lending, or similarly regulated industries
