Job Description
Legal & Compliance Manager building legal infrastructure for NATURTREU, a German dietary-supplement brand. Managing legal advice, compliance, contracts, risk monitoring, and external counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for legal, regulatory, and risk-related matters
- Advise on data protection, trademark law, advertising law, and contract drafting
- Manage external law firms and oversee ongoing legal cases and proceedings
- Support the Product Safety team as a sparring partner and trusted advisor
- Establish an internal case archive for the structured documentation and tracking of legal matters
- Proactively follow up on outstanding legal topics
- Establish and maintain compliance standards across product safety, procurement, IT, data protection, and advertising
- Monitor compliance risks and trends and develop recommendations for risk mitigation
- Support contract reviews, including NDAs, supplier agreements, and agency contracts
- Build a streamlined contract process together with Finance and Procurement
- Track legal KPIs such as case costs, liability risks, and recurrence risks
- Develop preventive measures to minimize risks
- Build and continuously develop the Legal function in a structured manner
- Develop processes, templates, and policies and introduce internal standards
- Report directly to the CEO and work closely with Product, Marketing, Procurement, Finance, and IT
Requirements:
- Completed degree in business law, law, or compliance management; an LL.M. or comparable qualification or vocational training is also welcome
- Ideally, 2–5 years of experience in a Legal or Compliance role
- Experience in a legal practice environment, for example as a paralegal or law firm assistant
- Career changers with substantial practical experience are explicitly welcome
- Broad practical knowledge of legal matters, particularly contract law, data protection, and advertising law
- Excellent written and spoken German
- Very good English skills are an advantage
- Independent, forward-thinking, solution-oriented, and structured approach to work
- Ability to explain complex matters clearly and pragmatically
- Strong initiative and ability to identify risks at an early stage
- Experience in cross-functional project management
- Permanent residence in Germany required
