Job Description
Legal Intern supporting Muon Space’s satellite lifecycle through compliance, contracts, and regulatory research. Gaining hands-on experience in commercial space law and government contracting.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain regulatory compliance matrices tracking license conditions, reporting obligations, and procedures
- Support the Legal and Contracts team with research and administrative work on commercial agreements, government contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements
- Conduct legal, regulatory, and market research and synthesize findings into written summaries and recommendations
- Assist with legal, corporate, and regulatory projects, including filings, process documentation, and export-compliance recordkeeping
- Gain hands-on exposure to commercial space law, regulatory policy, and government contracts while working with attorneys and regulatory specialists
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a J.D. program (1Ls and 2Ls welcome)
- Strong research and writing skills
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Eager to learn
- Genuine interest in space, technology, or government contracting
- Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment
- Must satisfy U.S. export-control access requirements as a U.S. person, be eligible without export authorization, or be eligible and reasonably likely to obtain required export authorization
- Nice to have: coursework or demonstrated interest in administrative law, telecommunications, national security, or government contracts
- Nice to have: technical background or prior exposure to aerospace, satellite systems, or defense
