Job Description

Level Designer creating engaging physics-based levels for Innovecs’ mobile puzzle games. Balancing difficulty, playtesting mechanics, and using analytics to improve player engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deliver engaging levels for a mobile physics-based puzzle game
  • Create varied challenges using the game’s characters, abilities, obstacles, and environmental mechanics
  • Introduce mechanics gradually and develop a difficulty curve that keeps players engaged
  • Playtest levels, identify unclear or frustrating moments, and refine the gameplay experience
  • Use player feedback and analytics to adjust level difficulty and improve engagement
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure levels function correctly and meet visual and gameplay standards
  • Contribute new level concepts and combinations of mechanics to keep the game fresh for players

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in game level design, preferably in mobile puzzle or physics based games
  • Strong understanding of puzzle design, physics based mechanics, difficulty progression, and player psychology
  • Ability to design levels around trajectories, collisions, destruction, and chain reactions
  • Experience balancing levels to make solutions understandable, challenging, and satisfying
  • Ability to iterate quickly based on playtesting, player feedback, and analytics
  • Good knowledge of Unity3D Editor and level design tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively with designers, developers, and product owners
  • Ability to communicate design ideas clearly in written or verbal form
  • Familiarity with the mobile gaming market and current trends
  • A portfolio demonstrating levels designed for shipped or playable games
  • Advanced level of English or higher
  • Unity3D development experience is a plus
