Job Description
Licensed therapist providing remote mental health counseling through BetterHelp’s online therapy platform. Building a caseload while delivering independent virtual therapy sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote mental health therapy to clients through BetterHelp
- Build a caseload through BetterHelp's client matching
- Serve insurance and cash-pay clients
- Conduct live therapy sessions
- Set an independent schedule and choose working hours
- Focus on client care without marketing a private practice or managing insurance administration
- Provide therapy from a private, professional home environment
- Exercise autonomy over clinical decisions
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or another eligible mental health discipline
- Current independent clinical license allowing therapy provision without supervision
- 3+ years of mental health counseling experience
- Currently residing in the United States
- Professional liability insurance
- Reliable internet connection
- Private, professional environment for virtual sessions
- Strong written communication skills
- License must allow independent mental health therapy without supervision
- Interns and clinicians requiring supervision are not eligible
- Substance abuse counselors, school counselors, registered nurses, career counselors, Christian counselors, and business coaches are not eligible unless they also hold an eligible independent mental health license
