Job Description

Qualified Management Accountant supporting accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial partnering. Psychiatry UK delivers digital psychiatry services to improve access to mental health care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day accounts-related operations of the Finance Department
  • Prepare group monthly management accounts from trial balance
  • Reconcile all control account balances monthly
  • Produce overhead accruals and prepayments for all entities
  • Process accurate monthly group recharges
  • Act as a finance business partner to operational and departmental leaders
  • Provide financial insight, challenge and support for decision-making
  • Provide departmental managers with financial analysis, KPIs and commentary
  • Assist with coordinating, preparing and consolidating the annual budget process
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns for approval
  • Liaise with and provide information to the external auditor
  • Analyse project expenditure and communicate findings to project managers
  • Assist the Financial Controller with overhead analysis using Excel
  • Assist in the year-end audit and annual work-in-progress verification
  • Complete ad hoc project work as directed by the Financial Controller
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial accounts and reporting in accordance with accounting standards and Group policies
  • Assist with budgets and cash flow, monitor them, highlight risks and support effective use of financial resources
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required by the Senior Management Team

Requirements:

  • Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA
  • Demonstrable experience of business partnering with non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience supporting annual budgeting and in-year forecasting/reforecasting processes
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven administrative experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings clearly to non-finance audiences
  • Highly organised and meticulous, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple workloads effectively
  • Ability to work autonomously, use initiative and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism and integrity
  • Applicants must reside in the UK
  • Knowledge of Sage products, namely Sage Intacct (desirable)
  • Experience in the healthcare industry (desirable)
