Job Description
Manager directing a team of architects at Randstad, ensuring IT architecture aligns with business needs and compliance standards while fostering team growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Manages a small team of junior and intermediate architects by leading the fulfillment of architecture's goals and guiding the team through professional hurdles
- Liaises with business units, product management, IT development, IT services, and cyber security to define the IT architecture required to support new products, applications, and services
- Plans components of the architecture and designs approach against sprint timelines
- Ensures the suitability of the activities and artifacts to ensure the approach is not under/over-engineered
- Supervises a team in the root cause analysis and resolution of incidents and problems with technology in the architecture domain and in collaboration with other domains
- Monitors the team's adherence to compliance standards, implementing IT governance and risk management processes that safeguard the organization's technology assets by tracking key metrics
- Oversees the identification and documentation of key architecture decisions and ensures these are shared and agreed
- Oversees the documentation of data and application architecture for one medium-sized project or multiple small projects
Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of concepts and principles in own discipline and a good knowledge of related disciplines
- Provides management and guidance to professional employees and/or supervisors or supervises large, complex business or technical support teams
- Has accountability for the performance and results of a team or multiple related teams
- Adapts team plans, sets priorities and allocates resources to align with business area objectives
- Provides input into budgets
- Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures, and team/business area plan; receives guidance from manager
