Job Description
Agronomy intern supporting WinField United seed and crop protection products through research, analysis, and sales agronomic insights. Completing an 11-week summer project with local teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis to advance seed and crop protection products
- Collaborate with the local team on a business-critical project
- Support the Market Development Agronomist and sales team with agronomic insights that aid sales execution
- Contribute to advancing WinField United seed and crop protection products
- Participate in a hands-on, purpose-driven internship with networking opportunities and facility tours
- Gain skills through a project intended to impact career development
Requirements:
- Sophomore or Junior undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Ag Systems Technology, Digital Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field (preferred)
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record
- Required GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Interest in pursuing an advanced degree in Agronomy, Crop Sciences, or related field (preferred)
- Interest in technical agronomy and becoming a subject matter expert (preferred)
- Prior experience in sales or ag retail, with a focus on customer interaction (preferred)
- Familiarity with the ag retail system (preferred)
- Excellent communication, writing, and critical thinking skills (preferred)
- Ability to manage time, prioritize, and implement projects and general work tasks (preferred)
- Resourceful and innovative in finding solutions to problems (preferred)
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing business surroundings (preferred)
- Must be available for an 11-week internship from May through August 2027
- Must be able to travel throughout the summer
