Job Description

Marketplace coordinator managing CANZA’s sustainable agriculture directory, MMRV tools, research, testing, and project execution. Supporting partners across Canada’s agri-food system.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive day-to-day operations and execution across the CANZA Marketplace and associated MMRV initiatives
  • Lead enhancements to the Marketplace searchable directory to improve user experience and partner relationships across Canada
  • Support development and evolution of Marketplace and MMRV tools, programs, and resources
  • Participate in testing and quality assurance for new Marketplace features and digital functionalities
  • Lead research on regenerative agriculture, sustainability, MMRV, and environmental markets
  • Translate research findings into actionable program recommendations
  • Lead designated Marketplace workstreams, such as the searchable directory
  • Maintain structured, current, and organized project documentation and reporting templates
  • Prepare, format, and synthesize materials for pitch decks, proposals, and concept notes
  • Organize, document, and follow up on team and partner meetings
  • Track project timelines, action items, and dependencies
  • Support planning, tracking, and execution of Marketplace and MMRV initiatives
  • Maintain correspondence with external system actors and provide operational support for meeting logistics, inquiries, and information sharing
  • Report to the Director, Data & Marketplace Strategy

Requirements:

  • Strong subject matter knowledge in agrifood sustainability, agricultural production systems, and sustainability initiatives across supply chains
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical data relating to agriculture, sustainability, and MMRV
  • Ability to independently research, analyze data, and synthesize findings into summaries, presentations, executive briefings, and recommendations
  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, implementation, or project management
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience tracking timelines, action items, and competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail for testing user functionality and managing web-based platforms or directories
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Food Systems, Business, or a related discipline
  • Experience in fast-paced, evolving environments and willingness to adapt
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada and currently reside in Canada
  • Familiarity with MMRV concepts, carbon accounting, Scope 3 emissions, sustainability reporting, environmental data management, or related frameworks
  • Experience with agricultural sustainability programs, carbon markets, regenerative agriculture, or ecosystem service initiatives
  • Knowledge of environmental data standards, traceability systems, or digital agriculture platforms
  • Experience with producers, commodity organizations, or agricultural value chain partners
