Job Description
DBRE SQL Server engineer managing resilient, high-availability databases for Sicredi, Brazil’s cooperative financial institution. Automating infrastructure, monitoring systems, and resolving database incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, migrate, upgrade and improve performance in database environments
- Identify and propose automations to resolve operational bottlenecks
- Manage highly critical environments
- Work closely with development teams
- Monitor and create monitoring mechanisms to maintain environments
- Develop and implement infrastructure as code (automations, deployment, Continuous Delivery, etc.)
- Resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis to create and execute action plans
- Support internal and external audits by explaining database processes and extracting evidence
Requirements:
- Experience implementing and administering SQL Server databases and at least one other database: MongoDB, PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Knowledge of at least one public cloud
- Experience with Linux environments is mandatory
- Experience with DevOps culture is desirable, including automation for provisioning, configuration, versioning and monitoring of database environments
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Shell Script, Java, etc.)
