Job Description

Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist at Tiko, an African nonprofit connecting young women to healthcare services and rewards. Building evidence frameworks, analyzing program data, and improving health-program impact across Nigeria and South Africa.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and integration of Theories of Change, strategic monitoring frameworks, and work plans during early-stage program development and donor proposal drafting
  • Formulate performance indicators, impact metrics, and target baselines aligned with organizational objectives
  • Adapt data quality assurance and evaluation approaches to changing funding landscapes, program objectives, and field realities
  • Oversee end-to-end collection, cleaning, categorization, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative datasets
  • Partner with the Data Analytics team to manipulate platform databases, extract operational insights, and optimize Health Information Systems such as DHIS2
  • Select, maintain, and supervise data platforms and digital collection technologies such as KoboToolbox and Tableau
  • Lead quality assurance partner selections, collaborative training sessions, and initial field supervision
  • Conduct regular Data Quality Audits alongside Program Managers
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and on-site guidance for field execution and data quality challenges
  • Transform analytical findings into reports, case studies, and publications for internal teams, partners, and donors
  • Train and mentor colleagues to leverage data and build programs designed for reliable data capture
  • Drive organization-wide knowledge-sharing of learnings and best practices
  • Report to the Director of Evidence and Learning within the MERL team

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience designing, managing, and executing M&E frameworks within international development or public health settings
  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a closely related quantitative field
  • Expertise in advanced programming, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools, including Python, R, Stata, SPSS, KoboToolbox, and Tableau
  • Hands-on experience with, maintaining, or integrating Health Information Systems such as DHIS2
  • Experience managing external research partners, field teams, and collaborative stakeholder relationships
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in British English
  • Ability to write for technical audiences and donor institutions
  • Ability to work remotely from Nigeria or South Africa
