Job Description

Network Engineer providing advanced networking support for community banks and credit unions. Troubleshooting issues and ensuring network stability and security in client environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues for financial institution clients through phone, email, and ticketing systems
  • Providing support for Cisco networking infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and security appliances
  • Administering and supporting Palo Alto firewalls, including policy management, troubleshooting, and security configuration
  • Performing advanced routing, switching, and network security troubleshooting
  • Supporting Remote Access VPN (RA VPN) environments and related security services
  • Configuring and deploying new network locations, routers, firewalls, and related infrastructure
  • Working directly with telecommunications providers to troubleshoot circuit issues and coordinate service changes
  • Managing IP whitelisting and other network security-related requests
  • Supporting Meraki environments and SD-WAN technologies
  • Documenting troubleshooting activities, customer communications, and resolutions within internal ticketing systems
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution and continuous service improvements
  • Delivering a high level of customer service while serving as a trusted technical resource for financial institution clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3–5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments
  • Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, and security platforms
  • Hands-on experience supporting Palo Alto firewalls
  • Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, and network security principles
  • Experience troubleshooting complex network issues in customer-facing environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
