Job Description

Network Technician and System Administrator delivering Tier 2 managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, and connectivity services. Managing client infrastructure, networks, backups, and escalations remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote help-desk and Tier 2 escalation support for end users and customers
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop, server, and network hardware
  • Build, monitor, and maintain client environments across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure
  • Configure and maintain secure connectivity across multiple sites, hosting environments, and remote staff
  • Monitor and service backups, security systems, and other critical services
  • Work on environment, connectivity, and cybersecurity design projects
  • Write scripts to automate repetitive work and reduce errors
  • Create training materials and lead training sessions on new procedures and technologies
  • Provide end-user training on equipment and applications
  • Complete assigned research and project work
  • Communicate with clients and teammates by phone and email
  • Follow up after job completion to confirm client satisfaction
  • Document every call, email, and service request in the ticketing system
  • Participate in the after-hours emergency phone rotation as needed
  • Support disaster scenarios and planned projects outside normal hours
  • Back up lower-tier staff as needed
  • Work with the same clients, tickets, and escalation path as US-based engineers

Requirements:

  • Professional English fluency, written and spoken
  • Strong networking fundamentals: subnetting, routing, NAT, and network design
  • Windows Server (2012–2025+), Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra administration
  • Experience with firewalls, routers, managed switches, and VLANs
  • Windows desktop OS (10/11) and common business applications
  • Command line and PowerShell scripting
  • Virtualization with VMware and Hyper-V
  • Solid grasp of modern security concepts across IT disciplines
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable remote work environment
  • Four-year degree or equivalent technical training and demonstrated experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years working in similar roles, ideally at an MSP
  • Ongoing continuing education with annual education and certification benchmarks
  • Strongly preferred: MSP tooling experience including PSA/ticketing, RMM, and multi-tenant platforms (ConnectWise and Automate)
  • Strongly preferred: AWS administration
  • Strongly preferred: macOS support experience
  • Strongly preferred: Multi-WAN, wireless, and failover troubleshooting
  • Strongly preferred: IP telephony
  • Strongly preferred: Backup and disaster recovery platforms
  • Strongly preferred: Power BI
  • Attention to detail, organization, logical thinking, and calmness under deadlines
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical people without condescension
  • Reliable attendance and follow-through
  • Desire to grow professionally
  • Technical certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL are strongly preferred
