Job Description
Online English Teacher delivering 1-to-1 and group lessons remotely from Brazil. Teaching Asian learners using provided lesson plans across 25- and 50-minute classes.
Responsibilities:
- Teach online English lessons to adult and/or young learners
- Deliver 50-minute or 25-minute lessons
- Teach 1-to-1 or group classes
- Maintain availability from afternoon to evening Beijing time (5 pm–11 pm BJT)
- Commit to teaching for a minimum of one complete semester (6 months)
- Follow provided lesson plans
- Work with support from veteran teachers and administrative staff
- Adapt schedule based on current demand
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field required; preference given to degrees in Language and Education
- Available to teach part time from afternoon to evening Beijing time (5 pm–11 pm BJT)
- Reliable desktop or laptop computer
- Chromebooks are not accepted by the software
- Internet access; wired cable connection preferred
- Commitment to teaching a minimum of one complete semester (6 months)
- Punctual and responsible work ethic
- Positive attitude
- TEFL/TESOL certification preferred
- At least 1 year of online teaching experience preferred
- Kids already know a bit of English
