Job Description
Ontology Engineer designing and maintaining semantic knowledge models. Collaborating with AI engineers to improve data integration and interoperability for enterprise applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise ontologies
- Build and manage formal knowledge frameworks
- Map proprietary business terminology to industry-standard ontologies
- Develop semantic models for seamless data integration
- Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists
- Improve AI performance with high-quality semantic models
- Gather competency questions from product managers, UX designers, and subject matter experts
- Design and maintain taxonomy structures, controlled vocabularies, and metadata standards
- Create documentation for ontology design and governance
Requirements:
- 5–10 Years experience
- Strong expertise in: RDF, RDFS, OWL, SPARQL
- Hands-on experience with Protégé, TopBraid Composer, PoolParty, CENtree
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with JSON, XML
