Job Description
Remote Oracle DBA maintaining secure, high-performance enterprise databases for Capgemini Engineering. Supporting PL/SQL development, tuning, recovery, upgrades, and production incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database environments
- Monitor database health, performance, storage usage, and availability across Production, UAT, QA, and Development environments
- Administer RH Linux, Bash, Oracle RDBMS, Shibboleth SP, HTTPD, and JBoss AS
- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views
- Perform database performance tuning using AWR Reports, ASH Reports, Explain Plans, SQL Trace, and Oracle performance tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve locking, blocking, deadlocks, memory utilization, and query performance issues
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
- Support database patching, upgrades, migrations, and database refresh activities
- Manage Oracle user accounts, roles, privileges, and database security controls
- Monitor and maintain tablespaces, storage utilization, and database growth
- Perform index analysis, SQL tuning, partitioning, and execution plan optimization
- Support production incidents, problem management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective Action Plans (CAP)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration
- Strong experience in PL/SQL Development and Optimization
- Experience with Oracle Database 12c, 19c, or higher
- Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning techniques
- Experience administering RH Linux, Bash, Oracle RDBMS, Shibboleth SP, HTTPD, and JBoss AS
