Job Description
Patient Services Representative handling patient billing calls and self-pay collections for University of Maryland Faculty Physicians. Investigating accounts, resolving patient questions, and conducting follow-up.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming patient phone calls regarding balances due
- Make outgoing collection calls regarding balances due
- Resolve patient questions
- Contact appropriate sources when necessary
- Conduct account investigation and follow-up
- Collect self-pay balances
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Three or more years of experience in a medical office directly related to Patient Services Department and Central Eligibility Team
- Must be a resident of Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, or Texas
