Job Description
People Operations Manager owning global HR operations, compliance, payroll, and benefits. Scaling GovPilot’s cloud software workforce across employees, EOR workers, and contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, benefits, and employment-law compliance
- Process and troubleshoot payroll
- Administer benefits and manage the PEO relationship with Rippling
- Manage HR processes for FTEs, EOR employees, and independent contractors across multiple countries
- Ensure workforce classifications are handled correctly and compliantly
- Advise employees and managers on performance issues, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution
- Maintain and evolve employee handbooks, policies, and HR documentation
- Administer Rippling and maintain accurate HR records
- Provide HR reporting and metrics to leadership
- Partner with the CFO on headcount forecasting, compensation administration, and budget-related HR matters
- Report to the Chief Financial Officer
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Prior ownership of HR for a 100+ person company or a comparable-sized business unit
- Strong working knowledge of global workforce structures, including FTEs, EOR arrangements, and independent contractors
- Knowledge of compliance considerations for different workforce classifications
- Direct experience working with a PEO; Rippling experience is a plus
- Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits administration, and HR systems
- Solid grounding in employee relations, compliance, recruitment, performance management, compensation, and HR systems
- Excellent judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential matters
- Experience in a fast-growing startup or SaaS environment is a plus
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
- Must be located in the United States
- GovPilot is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa
