Job Description
Join is seeking a PHP Developer to build and evolve web applications in a remote setup. Responsibilities include ensuring quality and performance in an agile team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and enhance corporate systems based on PHP technology, ensuring quality, performance, security and adherence to functional and non-functional requirements.
- Implement corrective, adaptive, evolutionary and preventive maintenance on information systems.
- Analyze, diagnose and resolve incidents and problems in development, staging and production environments.
- Develop and maintain integrations between internal and external systems using APIs and services.
- Participate in the implementation of technical solutions aligned with defined architectural standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to the solutions developed.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and activities, contributing to the planning and execution of deliveries.
- Support unit, integration and acceptance testing activities, ensuring the quality of delivered solutions.
- Maintain and evolve legacy systems, proposing technical improvements when necessary.
- Support application and database performance analysis, contributing to performance and stability improvements.
- Work together with analysts, architects, support teams, infrastructure, database, information security and other involved areas.
- Apply software engineering best practices, code versioning and development quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with technical, methodological and operational requirements established contractually.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing web application development using PHP technologies.
- Knowledge of agile software development principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban and Extreme Programming (XP).
- Knowledge of design patterns and enterprise application architecture.
- Knowledge of three-tier application architecture (MVC).
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and integrating systems.
- Experience with source code versioning tools.
- Experience in production support and troubleshooting.
- Experience analyzing and resolving production incidents.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with PHP 5.x, PHP 7.x or higher.
- Experience with Laravel or equivalent frameworks.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Experience with relational databases, including Oracle.
- Experience creating and maintaining Stored Procedures, Functions and Packages in Oracle/PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Git, GitLab or equivalent version control tools.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools.
