Job Description
Post Closing Specialist resolving investor conditions and preparing disclosures for CrossCountry Mortgage, a distributed retail mortgage lender. Monitoring loan pipelines, documentation, and purchase timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate resolution of conditions identified by investors during purchase review
- Research loan files and clarify ambiguities or concerns with investors
- Determine alternative solutions and request investor exceptions as needed
- Work with clients and appropriate departments to obtain additional or corrected documentation
- Obtain daily suspense reports from investor sites
- Document suspense information and cure-by dates in the system
- Review closed loan files for suspense items
- Log and upload suspense documentation to investor sites
- Monitor daily condition reports and workload
- Notify management of investor salability issues
- Monitor warehouse-line loan timelines and advise the Post Closing Manager of curtailment risks
- Maintain a pipeline of shipped loans to ensure timely conditioning or purchase
- Maintain knowledge of agency and investor guidelines and overlays
- Meet monthly purchased-loan goals
- Prepare and provide Post Consummation Closing Disclosures and refund checks as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mortgage closing and/or post-closing activities
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory and investor guidelines for various loan programs
- Excellent attention to detail and decision-making skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
