Job Description

Prescription specialist owning prior authorizations and escalated cases for newly onboarded healthcare practices. Resolving medication-access issues for providers and patients at Generator Health.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end prescription experience for newly onboarded practices and escalated cases, from first submission through final determination
  • Navigate prior authorizations across insurance plans, pharmacies, and affordability programs
  • Investigate case histories, identify stalled points, escalate to appropriate internal teams, and follow through to resolution
  • Proactively resolve issues before they cause delays, working with plans, pharmacies, and providers
  • Communicate with providers and patients by phone, email, and text
  • De-escalate high-stress situations and provide expert support
  • Maintain 100% accuracy in every case
  • Identify prescription patterns and turn them into practice guidance or internal escalations
  • Use proprietary software tools to execute and optimize operational workflows
  • Exercise judgment about intervention, escalation, and case progression
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve patient and provider issues

Requirements:

  • Experience in a role requiring analytical problem-solving, operational rigor, and ownership of outcomes
  • Client-facing experience; comfort communicating by phone, text, and email
  • Ability to de-escalate tense conversations
  • Some medical or healthcare background, such as medical assistant, pre-med, healthcare support experience, or similar
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a varied caseload independently
  • Ability to quickly master complex software tools and work with data
  • Ability to resolve ambiguous problems and adapt quickly to new workflows
  • Must currently reside in or be actively relocating to Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin
