Job Description
Principal Consultant advising UK organisations on strategic GIS and Esri technology adoption. Leading complex customer engagements, propositions and consultant mentoring for geospatial technology company Esri UK.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior trusted advisor to strategic customers and build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders
- Understand customer strategies, challenges and priorities and identify where GIS and Esri technology can deliver value
- Shape software and services propositions aligned to customer objectives and measurable business outcomes
- Work with Sales colleagues to develop complex customer opportunities and support sustainable business growth
- Lead strategic customer engagements and help organisations plan, adopt and gain value from Esri technology
- Provide strategic consulting input across complex projects, programmes and customer engagements
- Influence senior decision-makers and communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly
- Provide direction, coaching and mentoring to consultants and colleagues
- Share market, sector and technology insight to improve customer propositions
- Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of Esri UK
Requirements:
- Substantial experience in consulting, professional services, GIS, technology or a related discipline
- Knowledge of Esri technology and the ArcGIS platform
- Strong track record of leading complex customer engagements and delivering meaningful outcomes
- Experience building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing strategic decision-making
- Ability to translate customer strategy and business challenges into technology and services propositions
- Strong commercial judgement and experience working with Sales or commercial teams to develop opportunities
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with technical credibility
- Experience leading, coaching or mentoring experienced consultants
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and taking ownership of complex customer relationships
- Must be based in the UK and willing to complete relevant security checks
