Job Description
Procurement Manager managing procurement activities for energy storage projects worldwide. Leading strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations to optimize cost and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee procurement activities for major energy storage projects worldwide
- Manage project teams throughout all stages to ensure supply needs are met promptly
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities
- Manage vendor selection, conduct supplier audits, and negotiate contracts
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for BESS components
- Track and report on procurement performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department
- Prepare regular procurement reports and dashboards for senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- At least 3 years in the energy storage or renewable energy sector
- Strong understanding of the BESS industry, including components and suppliers
- Proven track record in supplier negotiations, cost management, and strategic sourcing
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
- Familiarity with procurement tools and ERP systems
- Technical understanding of battery storage systems or energy-related technologies is an advantage
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing procurement challenges
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulatory requirements in the energy and storage sectors
- Time management and problem-solving skills
