Job Description

Procurement initiatives lead driving cross-functional sourcing, technology, and master-data improvements. Supporting Solventum’s medical-device and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end procurement-related initiatives from concept through execution
  • Translate business goals into procurement strategies and project plans
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Finance, and IT stakeholders
  • Contribute to the procurement technology roadmap
  • Define requirements for systems, tools, and digital workflows
  • Support procurement master data management strategy and governance
  • Work with digital and IT teams to enable future data architecture
  • Serve as the communication bridge across departments and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Gather business requirements and map current- and future-state procurement workflows
  • Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and company standards
  • Enable automation of supplier communications, workflows, and data collection
  • Define KPIs, track progress, and report outcomes to executive leadership
  • Value-stream map people, processes, and tools; assess AI-enabled procurement use cases
  • Assist with procedure development, training, and rollout of IT and analytics tools
  • Translate complex datasets into actionable strategies and insights
  • Identify cost savings, operational efficiencies, and strategic sourcing improvements
  • Define master data elements, governance, and measurable performance indicators

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or project management roles
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing industries
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with high visibility
  • Strong understanding of sourcing systems, digital procurement platforms, and technology enablement
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Smartsheet, MS Project)
  • Experience synthesizing complex data into actionable strategies and decisions (ERP, SAP, Ariba, Excel, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a data-related role, preferably in a procurement or supply chain setting
  • Knowledge of FDA/GxP compliance and ISO standards relevant to medical device manufacturing
  • Experience with ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Ariba)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven expertise in Power BI, including Power Query and data modeling
  • Expertise in master data management and governance within supply chain
  • Lean manufacturing/six sigma training
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
