Job Description

Product Engineer developing AI-driven workflows at Just Appraised, enhancing government tools and workflows. Collaborating with customers and stakeholders to innovate product features and improve usability.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and ship end-to-end product features across frontend, backend, and internal tooling
  • Work closely with Customers and internal stakeholders to define product features, build prototypes and solutions end to end.
  • Talk directly with users and government stakeholders to understand workflows and pain points
  • Own projects from discovery through launch and iteration
  • Design scalable systems, APIs, workflows, and data models
  • Rapidly prototype AI-enabled features and operational tooling
  • Improve developer experience, product reliability, and system performance

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience combined with product ownership
  • Experience working with customers and stakeholders to identify product vision
  • Strong full-stack development experience with modern web technologies
  • Experience working in high-ownership startup or growth-stage environments
  • Product mindset: you think about customer outcomes, usability, and business impact
  • Ability to move quickly with good judgment and minimal oversight
  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating cross-functionally
  • Experience balancing speed with maintainable engineering practices
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping create structure where needed
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, REST APIs, AI/LLM tooling and integrations.
