Job Description
Reddit Product Manager defining the Developer Ecosystem strategy. Expanding app creation, marketplaces, and platform adoption through AI-assisted and no-code tools.
Responsibilities:
- Define Reddit's Developer Ecosystem product strategy, including the transition to AI-assisted creators
- Own the developers.reddit.com builder portal roadmap, including onboarding, documentation, app management, analytics, review status, feature access, education, examples, templates, and AI-assisted creation entry points
- Lead strategy for AI-assisted app creation, prompt-to-app workflows, no-code or low-code experiences, reusable templates, generated scaffolds, and Reddit-native apps
- Build the product approach for an App Marketplace for discovering high-quality apps, games, agents, tools, and community experiences
- Improve app review and ecosystem operations through tooling, automation, AI-assisted workflows, policy checks, quality signals, and reviewer-efficiency improvements
- Partner with Engineering on platform capabilities and performance improvements, including webhooks, webviews, APIs, SDKs, tooling, and observability
- Drive successful, retentive, and popular apps and games through best practices, templates, incentives, and paths from idea to launch to growth
- Identify and support new creator and developer categories
- Partner with Contribution, Community Builders, Games, Search, Recommendations, Safety, and Ads teams
- Define feature adoption programs for new platform capabilities
- Establish ecosystem measurement, including weekly active developers/creators, NPS/CSAT, app launches, and app retention
- Create frameworks for building platform primitives, launching templates, funding builders, partnering externally, promoting apps, or shutting down low-quality or low-trust behavior
- Lead cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, DevRel, Community, Data, Safety, Legal, Policy, Support, BD, and senior leadership
Requirements:
- Experience leading high-ambiguity platform, developer ecosystem, creator ecosystem, marketplace, gaming, AI tooling, or developer experience products
- Strong product judgment for creation platforms
- Comfort with code, APIs, developer tools, technical platform tradeoffs, and engineering conversations
- Ability to reason across developers, creators, users, moderators, communities, internal teams, partners, and business priorities
- Experience improving developer or creator onboarding, docs, portals, SDKs, APIs, marketplaces, app review, app distribution, AI creation tools, or app-building workflows
- Strong analytical judgment and comfort defining ecosystem, productivity, quality, retention, distribution, and business-impact metrics
- Ability to partner deeply with Engineering on platform capabilities, performance, reliability, primitives, observability, and build-vs-buy decisions
- Strong product sense for apps, games, agents, content creation tools, and community-native experiences
- Comfort working with AI-assisted creation tools, LLM-based workflows, prompt-to-app systems, or emerging software-building methods
- Excellent written communication and decision frameworks for ambiguous investment decisions
