Job Description
Product Manager leading product strategy and lifecycle management for engineered power feeders at GCG. Collaborating with teams to deliver innovative power distribution solutions for data centers and high-growth industries.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the product roadmap for engineered power feeder solutions, including the Maxiamp Cable Bus System and similar power distribution products.
- Lead product lifecycle activities from concept through commercialization, supporting successful and on-time launches.
- Conduct structured product audits across applicable product lines, including documentation, specifications, certifications, and sales tools.
- Identify gaps between current product materials and market expectations, then partner with internal teams to address them.
- Develop and maintain accurate, professional product documentation such as datasheets, application guides, installation instructions, and submittal templates.
- Work with engineering, operations, and other internal partners to close product, documentation, technical, or compliance gaps.
- Develop and execute a product roadmap aligned with company goals, market demand, sales growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement, innovation, and growth.
- Prioritize product features, enhancements, and new developments based on customer value, revenue potential, and strategic fit.
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant industry standards, technologies, customer requirements, and product applications.
- Engage with key customers, distributors, and industry partners to gather insights and strengthen relationships.
- Partner with sales teams to develop compelling value propositions and support major customer opportunities.
- Monitor product performance metrics, including market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction, and adjust product strategies as needed.
- Translate complex technical product information into clear messaging for sales teams, customers, and non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of product management or product marketing experience in electrical infrastructure, power distribution, or related industrial/commercial markets.
- Proven experience managing technical products in fast-paced environments.
- Technical literacy, including the ability to read and interpret electrical specifications, product drawings, installation documentation, and related technical materials.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive cross-functional work through internal teams and external partners without direct authority.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for sales, customers, and non-technical audiences.
- A self-directed working style and comfort building structure in areas where processes, documentation, or product strategy may still be developing.
- Strong customer focus and curiosity about how products are applied in real-world field environments.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot preferred.
- A proactive, collaborative, and commercially minded approach to product management.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally as needed.
