Job Description

Product Manager shaping secure, user-centered digital services for government agencies. Defining product direction, shipping web applications, and measuring outcomes for millions of Americans.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the vision, goals, and measures of success for managed products and services
  • Discover and synthesize market research, user needs, business requirements, and technical approaches with designers, business analysts, and technical leads
  • Define project and feature direction, scope, priority, user stories, and business metrics
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and ship projects
  • Socialize, iterate on, and build buy-in for product initiatives with teams, government partners, and contractors
  • Collaborate with project management to prioritize roadmaps and inbound work
  • Represent Nava’s outcome-centric and user-centric approach in agency and contractor discovery meetings
  • Understand and communicate end-user, population-segment, and government-partner needs
  • Measure product progress toward business goals and user needs and translate data insights into action
  • Make tactical decisions to improve designs, define requirements, and generate stakeholder buy-in
  • Work directly with government partners and Nava’s engineering, design, and business teams to improve digital government services

Requirements:

  • At least three (3) years of experience as a Product Manager of a cross-functional team
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience running and/or shipping consumer web applications
  • Ability to generate strong product plans and build buy-in across teams, government partners, and contractors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical, user experience, and project management trade-offs
  • Strong bias towards action and ability to structure action plans in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to execute with incomplete information, strong product instincts, and ability to create order from divergent needs
  • Ability to define product objectives and reverse engineer paths and communications to achieve them
  • Ability to identify market trends and shifts affecting product direction and update plans based on future expectations
  • Adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to meet other requirements for applicable government contracts
  • Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • May be subject to a government background check or security clearance depending on the contract
  • Must work from the contiguous United States
  • Must reside in one of Nava’s listed eligible states
