Job Description
Product Manager guiding secure cloud-based digital services for government agencies. Defining product strategy, priorities, and outcomes across Nava’s engineering, design, and business teams.
Responsibilities:
- Define the vision, goals, and success measures for managed products and services
- Discover and synthesize market research, user needs, business requirements, and technical approaches with designers, business analysts, and technical leads
- Define project and feature direction, scope, priorities, user stories, and business metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and ship projects
- Socialize product initiatives, iterate on them, and build buy-in with teams, government partners, and contractors
- Collaborate with project management to prioritize roadmaps and incoming work
- Represent Nava’s outcome-centric and user-centric approach in agency and contractor discovery meetings
- Understand and communicate end-user, population-segment, and government-partner needs
- Measure progress toward business goals and user needs and translate data insights into action
- Make tactical decisions to improve design, define requirements, and generate stakeholder buy-in
- Work directly with government partners and Nava’s engineering, design, and business teams to improve digital government services
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience managing cloud-based products or platforms within federal agencies or similarly regulated environments
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate collaboration across government and contractor organizations
- Strong communication skills for briefing senior leadership, documenting decisions, and engaging diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong understanding of cloud architectures, shared responsibility models, and cloud security frameworks
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other FedRAMP 20x authorized cloud environments
- Ability to interpret security controls, compliance requirements, and technical documentation
- Experience with federal IT governance structures, including ATO processes, continuous monitoring, and enterprise architecture reviews
- Understanding of ED/FSA mission, systems, and regulatory environment preferred
- Relevant certifications strongly desired, including CSPO or equivalent Agile certification, PMP or PMI ACP, ITIL Foundation, cloud certifications, and security or compliance certifications such as Security+ or CCSP
- Bachelor’s degree required in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to meet other requirements for applicable government contracts
- Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
- May be subject to a government background check or security clearance depending on the contract
