Job Description
Product Quality Owner overseeing payment quality, integrations, incidents, and releases at Flinks, Canada’s embedded finance platform. Managing product backlogs, testing, documentation, and client-facing due diligence.
Responsibilities:
- Own and prioritize the Payments backlog, including bugs, risks, and improvements
- Write clear product requirements and acceptance criteria
- Own the quality gate, including test strategy, regression testing, and release sign-off
- Monitor production health through payment and settlement alerts, incident follow-up, and root-cause actions
- Guide new bank and fintech clients through standard Payments integrations with Architects, Developers, and Implementation Managers
- Keep public documentation, runbooks, and test cases accurate and up to date
- Maintain due-diligence materials requested by banks, including SLAs, security answers, and test evidence
- Act as a trusted point of contact for Payments clients on quality, releases, and incidents
- Collaborate daily with Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Client teams
Requirements:
- At least 5 years in product quality or product ownership, ideally in SaaS
- Knowledge of payment rails, fund flows, settlement, and reversals
- Experience owning releases for production systems where errors cost money
- Ability to identify patterns in recurring defects and address root causes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and determine urgency
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly to engineers, clients, and leadership
- Comfortable leading all Scrum ceremonies
- Experience with banks or regulated financial services (FINTRAC, AML, OSFI) is a plus
- Familiarity with APIs, automated testing, and observability tools is a plus
