Job Description
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner providing tele-psychiatry, medication management, and talk therapy for Rhode Island clients. Conducting evaluations and follow-ups through Lavender’s remote mental healthcare platform.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial evaluations with clients
- Collaboratively develop treatment plans involving medication, therapy, or both
- Follow up with clients at least monthly to assess intervention efficacy and ongoing care until treatment goals are achieved
- Provide various modalities of talk therapy alongside medication management
- Perform tele-psychiatric visits for clients based in Rhode Island
- Build a self-directed schedule within operating hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week
- Collaborate with advanced practice nurses and physician collaborators
Requirements:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Active Rhode Island Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
- ANCC Board Certification
- DEA Certification
- 2+ years of experience working in adult mental health
- Strong assessment skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ambitious, client-centric work ethic
- Comfortable providing various modalities of talk therapy
- Must have own computer and a quiet, professional space for tele-psychiatry appointments
- Minimum commitment of 16 hours per week
- Availability to work within operating hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week
- Weekend availability
- 1099 contract work arrangement
