Job Description

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner providing tele-psychiatry, medication management, and talk therapy for Rhode Island clients. Conducting evaluations and follow-ups through Lavender’s remote mental healthcare platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial evaluations with clients
  • Collaboratively develop treatment plans involving medication, therapy, or both
  • Follow up with clients at least monthly to assess intervention efficacy and ongoing care until treatment goals are achieved
  • Provide various modalities of talk therapy alongside medication management
  • Perform tele-psychiatric visits for clients based in Rhode Island
  • Build a self-directed schedule within operating hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week
  • Collaborate with advanced practice nurses and physician collaborators

Requirements:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Active Rhode Island Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
  • ANCC Board Certification
  • DEA Certification
  • 2+ years of experience working in adult mental health
  • Strong assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Ambitious, client-centric work ethic
  • Comfortable providing various modalities of talk therapy
  • Must have own computer and a quiet, professional space for tele-psychiatry appointments
  • Minimum commitment of 16 hours per week
  • Availability to work within operating hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week
  • Weekend availability
  • 1099 contract work arrangement
