Job Description
Purchasing Manager managing contracts, budgets, and contractors for House Buyers of America’s home renovation business. Sourcing products and negotiating costs for nationwide residential real estate investments.
Responsibilities:
- Bid out and manage all contracts
- Submit invoices and track project budgets
- Work with Field Managers to ensure contractors perform work according to contract
- Negotiate the lowest cost possible using national production builder pricing
- Source newer products to lower costs and improve renovation quality and aesthetic appeal
- Partner with senior management to determine specification levels
- Develop detailed scopes of work and budgets for each renovation job
- Manage, train, and fire general contractors and subcontractors
- Recruit new contractors and establish vendor relationships through networking and cold calls
- Ensure contractors are properly registered before starting jobs
Requirements:
- 5+ years of purchasing experience with a major home builder and remodeling company
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Understanding of and ability to speak some Spanish (nice to have)
