Job Description
Hybrid QA Engineer testing Sporty Group’s web casino, Android, and iOS games. Building automated tests and quality processes before releases are published.
Responsibilities:
- Test web casino, Android, and iOS game releases before publication
- Decide what is ready for launch and what needs more work
- Participate throughout development from requirements capture and estimation through final testing, launch, and maintenance
- Perform black-box, white-box, integration, and performance testing of Web, Android, and iOS platforms
- Track and record product issues in Atlassian Jira and analyze problems using various tools
- Simulate user needs and real-world usage scenarios
- Participate in team discussions and challenge requirements and acceptance criteria
- Create, follow up on, and continuously improve test strategies and quality processes
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve automated Web, Mobile, and API tests
- Automate engineering workflows, including custom tooling beyond the automation framework
- Review others' designs and code and provide constructive feedback
- Identify gaps and opportunities to improve quality processes
- Drive QA documentation, standards, and best practices
- Align QA processes across departments and stakeholders
- Support onboarding of new QA team members and align testing best practices across teams
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including significant hands-on experience in test automation using Python
- Strong Python programming skills, including designing and maintaining test automation frameworks
- Solid understanding of testing types (integration, end-to-end, regression, performance, and API testing), test design techniques and quality processes
- Experience with Web / Android / iOS and API manual testing
- Experience with web debugging and API testing tools (Chrome DevTools, Postman)
- Working knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL
- Experience in automation testing of REST APIs
- Experience in automation testing of mobile apps (Android and iOS)
- Experience in automation testing of web apps (Selenium/Playwright)
- Experience with Docker
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contributing to release quality gates
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Support onboarding of new QA team members and align testing best practices across teams
- Must have some overlap with UK timezone to ensure daily collaboration
