Job Description
QA Engineer testing Physitrack’s digital healthcare web and mobile products. Owning Playwright automation, API and SQL validation, mobile testing, and specification quality.
Responsibilities:
- Test the web application, including end-to-end flows, frontend behaviour, and backend responses
- Test iOS and Android mobile applications against an agreed device and OS matrix
- Understand product data flows, API contracts, and system interactions
- Own, extend, and maintain the web Playwright automation suite
- Write new automated tests for features taken through development
- Investigate automation failures and fix flakiness
- Verify requests, responses, payloads, status codes, and backward compatibility for older clients
- Query the database directly to verify actual system behaviour
- Pressure-test specifications with Product, Design, and Engineering before development starts
- Identify happy paths, edge cases, error states, empty states, forgotten platforms, API version risks, and migration gaps
- Debug issues to root cause and provide actionable information to developers
- Reproduce and triage customer issues reaching Engineering
- Maintain test plans and known-issue lists
- Use AI to reduce repetitive work, build reusable AI skills, make reasonable small code fixes, and identify quality improvements
Requirements:
- Three to five years of hands-on testing of web applications
- Demonstrated ability to find root causes rather than symptoms
- Practical test automation experience
- Experience writing and maintaining UI or API tests in Playwright or a comparable framework
- Ability to work in a test codebase without hand-holding
- Ability to read and reason about API contracts and payloads
- Ability to query a database in SQL to verify data
- Comfortable with traffic and API inspection tooling, or quick to pick it up
- Practical mobile testing experience
- Ability to distinguish platform conventions from defects
- Ability to reason about required device and OS coverage
- Proven collaboration with Design and Product during specification work
- Excellent written and spoken communication in Polish and English, both at C2 or native level
- Testing experience in a regulated or healthcare-adjacent domain is nice to have
- Experience with BrowserStack or Firebase Test Lab is nice to have
- Experience with Sentry or Crashlytics is nice to have
- Accessibility testing (WCAG) is nice to have
