Job Description
Quality Assurance Analyst testing Ava Industries’ cloud-based EMR software. Validating clinic workflows, releases, defects, and user experience for Canadian healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive manual test cases for regular software releases
- Perform end-to-end testing of clinic workflows, including scheduling, patient management, billing, charting, reporting, and other key EMR functions
- Collaborate with Product, Development, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, identify potential issues, and support release quality
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and release validation testing before production deployments
- Identify, document, and clearly communicate defects, including steps to reproduce and expected versus actual results
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure changes do not negatively impact existing functionality
- Evaluate releases for functionality, usability, reliability, and overall user experience
- Support post-release validation and investigation of production issues when required
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or a related role
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and bug tracking workflows
- Experience testing web and/or mobile applications across different devices and browsers
- Ability to clearly document, reproduce, and communicate issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Linear, Postman, GitHub, or similar platforms is an asset
- Experience with automated testing frameworks is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
